Junior High Youth Group strives to give kids a safehaven of Christian community. Our mission is to give the youth of The River Christian influences that they can model their own lives after. We believe youth group should be a place where young adults can be their energetic selves.

Having Fun

There are many unhealthy things out there for young adults—you know what they are. We hope to create a space that can effectively compete. We want our gatherings, trips, parties to be the things you what to come to instead of anything else.

Building Relationships

We want to get to know you and for you to know us! Healthy relationships are an important part of life. We want to build trust so that you feel comfortable discussing the issues that you are going through. We want to hear what you have to say even if it's not pleasant. And we don't want to lose touch after you've left High School.

Knowing God

When we feel comfortable with someone, it's easy to talk about God. We can share about what He has done, what we hope He will do or how it's hard to figure Him out. We all need a deeper relationship with God, our Creator - and we can encourage and challenge each other towards that goal.
